This handmade vase, fired in the Japanese raku tradition, is a true show-stopper. Raku involves causing thermal shock to the piece, which creates cracks in the glaze, then using smoke and soot to blacken the cracks and make them stand out against the glaze. The result is truly one-of-a-kind.

This product is made from a high-quality stoneware. It is not food safe, nor safe for use in a microwave or dishwasher. Note that the vase is not watertight due to the firing technique, so it is best to use dried flowers in the vase, or to use a liner or smaller vessel inside the vase to hold the water.
